Živilė Ba

No slogans, no tabloid stories, just music to sing along to – this is the way Živilė Ba wisely chose. Young and gifted, Živilė could be seen busking on the streets of Vilnius just several years ago. It all started to change in 2007 – after winning second place and best vocalist gong in Eurorock contest. 2008 brought even bigger acclaim – beating competition from numerous Lithuanian, Estonian and Latvian acts, Živilė celebrated triumph in Baltic New Music Chart – a competition for young Baltic music performers. A singer/songwriter who puts strong emphasis on melody and quality of performance, Živilė and her band (which also features Živilė Kazlauskaitė, drummer with well-known act Suicide DJs) played gigs in Latvia (sharing the stage with international stars at Positivus festival), Austria and Czech Republic. Warmth and sincerity are key features of Živilė's songs, sure to please lots of pop music lovers when her first album eventually comes out.
