Laurynas Jukonis’ project NULIS:S:S:S was founded in 2014, though he himself appeared on the Lithuanian dark electronic music scene much earlier, in 1995, with his post-industrial experimental project Girnų giesmės (Songs of the Millstones). You could call NULIS:S:S:S a continuation of the Girnų giesmės album S:S:S:S (2001). Some of the samples used in NULIS:S:S:S are around 20 years old, but they still pack a punch! The sound of the project focuses on rhythmic constructions of sharp noises that are interwoven with resonances coming from electro-acoustic devices blending in with melodies produced by analog synthesizers.
