The composer gathered the idea for this composition from the road sign “Baza Gaza” (meaning gas compressor station) on the Vilnius-Kaunas highway, inspired by its strange-sounding ‘Russian-Chinese-Japanese’ combination. This multimedia composition involved several layers: a soundtrack recorded on analogue synthesizers; two video projections – a videotape with geometric abstractions, and a film depicting the Lithuanian village sceneries; aromas (air freshener, burning tires, and the like) released by the performers according to the indications in the score; as well as balloons fully covering the floor of the hall that the performers encouraged the audience to trample on at the end of the composition (this even raised discussions whether it is acceptable to provoke violent reactions in the audience...)
