Mindaugas Stumbras
Mindaugas is an active member in Lithuanian jazz scene, although he also consistently works with international projects. In the last couple of years, Stumbras and his band played and toured internationally in United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Poland and many other places. In 2018, he released a successfully acclaimed debut album called „Our Kingdom“. Mindaugas Stumbras Trio is the main project of his nowadays. Their playing is very dynamic and unpredictable and their high level of improvisation make a significant impact on the way the band sounds. Sometimes meditative sounds are interrupted by massive bursts of power and burning up-tempo tunes can lead to the soft northern sounds.

Mindaugas Stumbras is a Lithuanian jazz guitarist based in Vilnius, Lithuania. He is a new generation jazz musician who plays both modern jazz and contemporary music. M. Stumbras is one of the most prominent Lithuanian jazz guitar players. He is an active member of Lithuanian jazz stage, although he also consistently works with international projects. In 2019, he graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and since then he plays and tours internationally with some of the most talented and well-established artists around Europe. The musician has shared the stage with the finest international jazz players, such as Seamus Blake, Kenny Wollesen, Luis Diego Bonilla, Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, Fergus McCreadie, Michelangelo Scandroglio, Dalius Naujokaitis, ect.
M. Stumbras and his bands have performed in United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Poland and many other places. He features in such bands like Brave Noises, MENT4L and JM Jazz World Orchestra. Alongside personal projects, Mindaugas has participated in prestigious international festivals like Vilnius Mama Jazz (Lithuania), Eunic Jazz Festival (Germany), Siena Jazz (Italy), A to Jazz Festival (Bulgaria), Jantar Jazz Festival (Poland) and many other distinguished competitions and festivals. In 2018, he released his debut album "Our Kingdom"which was successfully presented and acclaimed in Europe.
Currently, M. Stumbras Trio is the primary ongoing project of his. Their playing is dynamic, unpredictable, yet soothing and invigorating. High level of creativity is expressed through the improvisation which spontaneously shapes the way their music sounds. Intermittently, meditative melodies are interrupted by massive bursts of power and burning up-tempo tunes that form soft northern sounds which manifest a wide range of emotions. It is balance and chaos intertwined.
