The long-awaited CD of the best Lithuanian music ‘Made in LT: The Best of Lithuanian Music’ has reached points of sale earlier this month. Unlike other music albums produced in Lithuania, this representative CD is, first of all, intended for international listeners as a music souvenir from Lithuania.
The first issue of the CD ‘Made in LT’ presents works of famous Lithuanian groups like Skamp, SEL, Jurga, InCulto, Pieno lazeriai, Lemon Joy, Rasa and Jonas, G&G sindikatas, etc. ‘We filled the album with good emotions, spirits and energy. We were not trying to pay a tribute to the best Lithuanian performers, thus the album is feel-good, youthful and, at the same time, of high quality’, said Vaidas Stackevičius, the producer of the CD.
The CD contains 14 popular, feel-good and interesting pieces recorded by the Lithuanian performers in 2004 through 2007. It is expected to distribute the CD ‘Made in LT’ in usual points of sales, souvenir shops, airports, cruise ships and other places abundantly visited by foreigners.
‘We help good music to find its listeners and listeners – to find good music. And though this album is intended for the listener that is not yet familiar with Lithuanian music, we believe that the listener will appreciate good spirits and high quality of the album’, said Vaidas Stackevičius.
Partners of the first issue of the CD ‘Made in LT’ are: the Lithuanian Institute, Klaipėda Sea Port, magazine ‘Lithuania in the World’ and guides ‘Vilnius In Your Pocket’, ‘Kaunas In Your Pocket’ and ‘Klaipėda In Your Pocket’.
According to publishers, the partners, performers and authors of music, as well as their publishers enthusiastically supported emergence of the album. Immediately after it has become available on the market in March, the CD ‘Made in LT’ was delivered to Miami, to the world’s largest international seaport exhibition.
‘Made in LT’ is not the first project of M.P.3 agency intended not for the local market. Last year, M.P.3 licensed the music of Jurga, Lemon Joy, LT United and Andrius Mamontovas on the world’s most popular Internet portals iTunes, Napster, eMusic, Amazon, Virgin Mega, etc. The agency established five years ago also represents the Latvian group ‘The Hobos’ and organizes concerts of international artists in Lithuania.
