Regarding the International Contemporary Music Festival DRUSKOMANIJA’17, composers are invited to create their works for these ensembles: 

1. Wind ensemble – 2 trumpets, 1 trombone, 2 tubas, 2 flutes, 1 bass clarinet, 1 alto/soprano saxophone (one performer), 2 baritone saxophones.
Duration: 5-10’

2. “Twenty Fingers Duo” and Džiugas Daugirda – violin, cello and percussion (one performer – vibraphone, bass drum, tam-tam, wood blocks (5), snare drum, tom-toms (4), China cymbal, crash cymbal, ride cymbal, hi-hat, orchestral cymbals).
Duration: 5-10’

3. United ensemble of Lithuanian and Luxembourgian performers – flute, clarinet, piano, violin, viola, cello.
For this ensemble, only compositions of composers from Lithuania and Luxembourg will be accepted.
Duration: 11-13’

4. Vocal ensemble “Melos” – 4 female voices.
Duration: 5-10’

In case there are too many compositions, organisers and performers will be entitled to select pieces for the performance. 

Rules, requirements and conditions for the participants of the festival: 

1. The 2017 festival will be held on May 13-21.
2. The festival welcomes young composers from around the world, born January 1st, 1985 or later; this does not apply to compositions for Lithuanian-Luxembourgian ensemble.
3. Those who want to participate and write for ensembles above, must fill the registration form due 8th of March, 2017.
4. Pieces must be composed for full instrumentation of chosen ensemble. Other options and smaller combinations of instruments are not allowed.
5. Compositions for united Lithuanian-Luxembourgian ensemble must be submitted by composers from Lithuania or Luxembourg.
6. The work has to be unreleased, never recorded or publicly performed.
7. Scores and parts must be sent in .pdf format to the organisers of the festival by e-mail info@druskomanija.lt until April 10th, 2017. Late works will not be included in the program.
8. Organisers will take care of the travel expenses (Vilnius-Druskininkai-Vilnius) of the festival participants (composers) provided they are informed in advance.
