young composers of electronic/electroacoustic music
to apply and take part in a gripping creative process
The Electronic Music Laboratory is one of the six workshops of the Music Laboratory Network THE PROCESS. The aim of the laboratory is to expand creative experiences of young artists by introducing and applying a broad range of electronic/electroacoustic music technologies.
During the course of the Electronic Music Laboratory, led by guest experts of the field, Luis Naón (CNSMDP – Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, France), Diego Losa (INA GRM – L'Institut National de l'Audiovisuel, Groupe de Recherches Musicales, France), and specialists from CRFMW (Centre de Recherches et de Formation Musicales de Wallonie, Belgium), these ideas will be given a look from new perspectives possible. The collective creative production by participants of the laboratory will be implemented by one of the most renowned electronic / electroacoustic and improvisational music ensembles, the LOOS Ensemble (The Netherlands), and a new contemporary music duo from Lithuania, R&R Electronics. The final performances by participants of the laboratory will take place in the contemporary non-commercial art festival Vilniaus Veidai on 18-20 September, 2009, in Vilnius.
Events of the Electronic Music Laboratory will be part of the Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009 calendar.
Terms of participation: the Electronic Music Laboratory is intended for young electronic / electroacoustic music composers of up to 35 years of age from Lithuania and abroad. Persons wanting to participate in the project must complete the participant form until the 30th of June, 2009, and send it together with the required supplements to:

Obligations of the organizers: participation in the Electronic Music Laboratory is free of charge. The participants will also be provided with accommodation and meals. Travel expenses are not covered by the organizers.
Attention! 15 participants will be selected to take part in the Electronic Music Laboratory. Results of the selection will be announced till 15th of July, 2009. Selected participants will be informed via e-mail or phone specified in the participant form.
