The Lithuanian Music Information and Publishing Centre offers a selection of works by Lithuanian composers from recent years. As for its relatively small population, Lithuania displays surprisingly vital contemporary music scene, with a multitude of local and international new music events. The majority of works featured on this promotional two-CD set were either commissioned by our major contemporary music festivals, or premiered there. While this is just small selection of music by some of our most active and interesting composers, it should enable you to get the picture of the new Lithuanian music. Further information on the composers is available from the LMIPC’s website (http://www.mic.lt/) or by contacting us directly (info@mic.lt).
