Paulius Sluškonis

Biography

Paulius Sluškonis creates music and video graphics/animation since 1999. He had a chance to present his music in collaboration with various musicians at the following festivals:

Kaunas Jazz 2003/2005 (Kaunas, LT) 
Stad.Fest.Wien 2004 (Viena, AT)
Centras 2/3/4 (Kaunas, LT)
Iš Arti 2003 (Kaunas, LT)


Other art projects include:

Two TV art breaks for MTV Baltic (2006)

Video graphics for Ramūnas Motiekaitis‘ music composition Jouissance (premiered at Jauna muzika 2006 festival)

Production and performance of the electronic part of Zita Bružaitė‘s composition Hacker’s Dance (premiered at Gaida 2005 festival).

Sound effects and video graphics for Giedrius Kuprevičius‘ audiovisual project When Mars Kissed the Earth (premiered in Iš Arti 2004 festival).

Sound effects for Giedrius Kuprevičius‘ audiovisual project Three Still Lives with Lithuania (2003).

In 2001-2005 Paulius Sluškonis was the composer and music producer of the Kaunas multimedia collective Rüt Rüt.


Other activities:

Paulius Sluškonis is working as Head of the Center of Cultural Projects in Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) since 2004.

Paulius Sluškonis is one of the cofounders of the KTU internet radio station Gaudeamus.

Paulius Sluškonis lectures on visualisation of music at the department of Audiovisual Arts Technologies in Kaunas University of Technology since 2006.

 

In 2006 Paulius Sluškonis was awarded the prize for the best multimedia work ("The Sound of My Illusion", created together with the composer Ramūnas Motiekaitis) at the composers' competition organized by the Lithuanian Composers' Union.
